This week during their Art lesson the children have been looking at the human skeleton.

 We talked abut the different bones and then the children got to create their very own skeleton using black card and white paper straws. The children loved this activity although a few of them got very sticky after using the glue! We think they have done a fantastic job, well done Puffins!!!

During this week’s circle time the children and Miss Gordon went through the school rules and behaviours for learning. They also had the chance to share what they did over the weekend.

Puffins have enjoyed computing this week. The children worked in pairs to log onto the computer and into ‘Wonde’ through the school website. Once they were in, the children had the chance to use the Purple Mash website using the art app to create a digital painting using the mouse. The children learnt new vocabulary; paint program, tool, paintbrush, erase, fill and undo. 

The children have been continuing with their learning of ‘greater than’ and ‘less than’. We have also been looking at ‘greatest and least’. The children have worked in groups of 3 to put numbers they have rolled on a dice into order. They also looked at their names; working out who in their group had the greatest amount of letters to who had the least amount of letters.

They have also been looking at new key words; omnivore,  carnivore and herbivore. The children then completed a very fiddly but fun activity where they had to cut and stick a variety of different animals in the correct category. WOW! Haven’t we have been busy!
