In Computing, the children have been learning how technology helps us and how to stay safe online. The children went on a technology hunt around the classroom and then shared their ideas on how to use the internet safely.
In English this week, the children have been learning all about the pronoun ‘I’. They have put their bear heads on and created their own settings for ‘We’re going on a bear hunt’. They also got to ‘hotseat’ the bear. Some of the children came up with some great questions for the bear. Forest asked ‘Why did you chase the family?’ and Lily asked ‘Why were you sad?’ The children have also been performing the story using actions.
In maths, the children have been learning all about one more and one less.
During our History lessons we have been learning all about key words ‘past’ ‘present’ and ‘future’. The children completed a work sheet where they got to draw themselves as a baby, as they are now and what they think they will look like in the future.
During our PSHE lesson this week, we have been looking at body parts. The children worked as a whole class to label the body and we discussed the important NSPCC PANTS programme. The children enjoyed listening to the PANTS song. Here is the link if you want to use the video and have a chat to your child at home. https://youtu.be/_SzbMEVYiyg?si=QuX67n17BA8j8vqa
