Black History Month: Rosa Parks

To celebrate Black History Month we started to learn about Rosa Parks. The children were very interested in her story and had lots of questions to ask. They came to the conclusion that the way black people were treated was UNFAIR and it made them feel sad.

We used some actors and actresses to role play the story to allow the children to visually see what was happening. At each stage we explored our feelings and how we would feel in that situation. We then drew some fantastic portraits of Rosa Parks.
