Busy Bees!

During D&T the children have been creating safety posters. We discussed as a class the tools and equipment that they will use to make their toy cars.

The children enjoyed nibbling on a chocolate chip cookie whilst doing ERIC!

Puffins loved exploring their new African themed role play. They had the opportunity to explore some information books, complete a variety of activities and play in the tuff spot.

In English we have been looking at ‘instructions’ and how they are made up of key parts. The children have also had a go at writing some of their own.

Puffins have loved learning about their new topic – Africa! The children told us what they already knew which we recorded together.

During maths the children have been learning all about Place Value to 50.

In PSHE we have read the story “The Worry Monster”. We then discussed as a class what the word ‘worry’ means amd the children were then given the opportunity to share one of their own worries.

During our R.E lesson we have been looking at our family and discussing our ‘roots’ and ‘memories’.

In science the children have been exploring different materials and their properties.

In D&T puffins have been looking at toy cars. We have been exploring what materials they are made from and how they move. Puffins have been getting creative designing their very own car on Purple Mash which will be printed for the children to fold into a 3D shape. We have had some fantastic designs!
During our RE lesson we have been listening to the Easter story.
In History, the children have been researching toys from the past and present.

Double trouble! Puffins have been learning all about doubling in their maths lessons.
In Science the children have been sorting objects into materials. The children were then set the challenge to draw and label things from around the classroom made from these different materials.
World book day –  WOW!! Our Puffins all looked fantastic in their costumes!
Thank you to everyone who took part in the potato character competition. The children enjoyed doing an online lesson where they got to create their own book character.

Check out the children’s musical performance!
