This week in maths we have been continuing our learning about division. Puffins have completed lots of practical which they have loved as they got to have a little nibble of the resources we used. We learnt to share into equal groups using Cheerios and Rice Krispie Shapes.
This week in PSHE Puffins have been looking at ways to recognise the signs of “love and care”. We briefly looked at the story ‘Guess how much I Love You’. After we discussed with our talk partner our ideas. We then filled in heart shaped sugar paper with people we love and people we feel love and care from.
Puffins have enjoyed ERIC outdoors this week. They have built their own shelters and then used them during their ERIC sessions.
Ahoy there me hearties!!! Puffins have been super creative this week and used a range of resources such as water colour paints, crayons and felt tips to make their very own pirate maps. The children have done a GRRRRREAT job.
This week in computing the children have had a go at leaving their own comments on our class blog. The children worked in pairs to have a look through the blogs picking out the pictures they wanted to comment on. Check out the blog to see what they wrote.
Puffins have loved Science this week. We have been learning all about magnets and how they attract certain materials. The children got to experiment with some different classroom objects to identify which items are magnetic and which items are non-magnetic. We got to see how many paperclips a magnet could lift and we learnt about the magnetic force.
The children have thoroughly enjoyed their final day of the half term. They had the opportunity to create their own jubilee crowns ready for the disco or colour some Queen’s Platinum Jubilee pictures! The have also made a super den and played some carpet games.
