In PSHE the Puffins class have been working on how to deal with falling out with a friend. We discussed strategies they could such as:
In groups the children then picked different scenarios that the other children had to mediate using our Peacemakers questions.
Puffins class have been exploring sculptures today in Art as part of our all about me topic. We then made our own sculptures using straws and masking tape.
Our circle time today was on anger – we discussed how being angry is okay but it’s how we choose to deal with it if we get angry.
We discussed different types of anger and what we can do to deal with it.
We finished the session with a story called I feel angry.

The Puffins class this week have all chosen respect.
This week we have had lots of circle times and lessons focusing on choosing respect for Anti-Bullying week.
After discussing and understanding what bullying is we focused on how showing and giving respect can possibly prevent bullying.
Today the puffins have learnt how to log on and off the laptops in computing. We also have learnt how to stay safe online and what we need to do if something happens.
For check in today the Puffins shared something that made them happy and something that made them sad by drawing a picture and sharing with their teachers and talk partners. Lots of the children enjoyed fireworks which made them happy. Lots of children said they were sad because they missed their friends.
