Strengths and weaknesses

Today in PSHE we started to think about our own strengths and weaknesses.

These are our definitions of the words.

Strengths- We are strong. This is something we are good at.
Weaknesses– Something we are weak at and we need to improve. Something we are not very good at.

We then went round the circle and discussed our own strengths and weaknesses. Here are some examples:

After discussing our weaknesses, we found that we shared some weaknesses and started to think about how we could improve and make these strengths.

How can we improve
Lots of practise
Homework
Keep on trying
Not giving up
Ask for help
Ask someone to show you

Black History Month: Rosa Parks

To celebrate Black History Month we started to learn about Rosa Parks. The children were very interested in her story and had lots of questions to ask. They came to the conclusion that the way black people were treated was UNFAIR and it made them feel sad.

We used some actors and actresses to role play the story to allow the children to visually see what was happening. At each stage we explored our feelings and how we would feel in that situation. We then drew some fantastic portraits of Rosa Parks.
